FOR CONGRESS OLIVER H.P. BELMONT 7/8" and 1 1/4" pinbacks. Belmont (Democrat) was an American socialite elected to Congress from New York's 13th District in 1900 and served one term. Belmont came from a wealthy family - the Belmont Stakes was named after his father, August Belmont. Oliver Belmont was a notorious playboy and gambler, with a penchant for absinthe, and would die at the age of 49. The 7/8" pinback is in excellent condition, the 1 1/4" has perimeter stains. $125-175
