Bryan & Stevenson ANTI-IMPERIALISM ANTI-TRUSTS poster from the 1900 campaign. This poster has it all. Jugate portraits of Bryan & Stevenson are surrounded by drawings of Washington, Jefferson, Jackson and Lincoln. A "16 to 1" clock is featured in the center with the inscription "masses" on the minute hand and "classes" on the hour hand. At the top is an eagle with the date 1900 above and MONROE DOCTRINE below, followed by the inscription "NO FOREIGN ALLIANCE Construction, Ownership and Control of the NICARAGUA CANAL BY THE UNITED STATES (the U.S. would abandon plans to construct a canal waterway through Nicaragua after purchasing the French interests in the Panama Canal). At the bottom is a list of local New York candidates including John B. Stanchfield for governor. The poster measures about 20 x 24" and is housed in an attractive 22 x 27" custom frame. We have not inspected this out of the frame but we do note a 2" tear bottom center. This is in otherwise bright, excellent condition, with wide margins. An outstanding rarity, and the first example we've seen. $2000-2500
